Cubmaster’s Message
Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 395, an active and award-winning Pack within the Carroll District of the Baltimore Area Council! We serve the youth of Carroll County, Maryland and surrounding areas. We have dens for both boys and girls ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade.
We have an incredible volunteer staff dedicated to serving and preparing our youth to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Our leaders have extensive training to ensure that our youth have the best experience possible.
There’s never been a more exciting time to be a part of our Scouting family, and we invite you to join us for fun and adventure! We meet most Mondays from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. We hope to see you soon!

Guiding Principles
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The work we create follows the spirit of these values.
The Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law
A Scout is:
Trustworthy
Loyal
Helpful
Friendly
Courteous
Kind
Obedient
Cheerful
Thrifty
Brave
Clean
Reverent
Fun and Educational Events
Pinewood Derby/Cubmobile
Two of our more popular activities involve building cars and putting them to the test. In the case of the pinewood cars, they are 5 inch long models. For the cubmobiles, each scout den builds a car they will sit in and race down a gravity powered course.
Camping/Hiking
We typically do overnight camping twice a year, in the fall, then again in the spring. The days are filled with many fun activities that promote the skills and knowledge scouts are known for. We will also do nature hikes several times during the year as well.
Den Projects
Age-appropriate activities and projects are tackled during the normal Monday night meetings. Scouts will learn and apply all the elements of the scout law through activities involving wood working projects, meal planning, skit performances, and games to name a few.
